Democratic Governance and the Rule of Law: Lessons from Colombia by Dr. Gabriel Marcella. But today it is much safer through the imposition of the "Rule of Law."

YouTube War: Fighting in a World of Cameras in Every Cell Phone and Photoshop on Every Computer by Dr. Cori E. Dauber. Terrorist attacks are media events designed to draw the attention of the press, because the attack itself will have accomplished very little without being viewed by the larger audience provided by media coverage. One of the key goals of terrorists is to shape public attitudes and perceptions and ultimately to undermine the will to fight. Terrorists attempt to accomplish that goal through the manipulation of media coverage.
