USAWC Strategy Conference

Join us in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, virtually or physically, from April 9-11, 2013, for the 24th Annual U.S. Army War College Strategy Conference, as we explore American Landpower’s contributions to U.S. national security. Conference debaters, panelists, and speakers will examine how the U.S. Government and the U.S. Army can meet strategic challenges to U.S. security, in light of sequestration, military downsizing, and an evolving international security environment. Fundamental premises such as the U.S. economy are the foundation of America's strength and security; diplomacy backed by a strong military is necessary to shape America's future engagement around the world; and, Landpower development initiatives must take place within this reality underpin the overall conference theme.

Dr. John Mearsheimer of the University of Chicago will kick off the event as the opening keynote speaker, and Dr. Andrew Krepinevich will provide the banquet keynote address. The conference will also include an onstage interview of General Raymond T. Odierno by Margaret Warner of the PBS NewsHour.
