Colonel Brian J. Clark

Colonel Brian J. Clark is the Intelligence Officer (G2), U.S. Army Special Operations Command, Fort Bragg, NC. Colonel Clark served in various Military Intelligence command and staff positions. His deployments include Operation JUST CAUSE, three tours to Somalia, and three tours to Iraq as the J2 for Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force (CJSOTF)-North and CJSOTF-Arabian Peninsula. Colonel Clark holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of San Diego, an M.A. in Administration from Central Michigan University, and an M.A. in Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College Class of 2009.

    Security Force Assistance may be a new term but the activities are familiar and are related to how the Department of Defense trains, advises, and assists foreign partners' security establishments to accomplish common objectives. Recommendations to improve U.S. performance are provided.
