Ms. Laura El-Katiri

Dr. Laura El-Katiri is a London-based academic who formerly taught at the Department of Financial and Management Studies at the School of Oriental African Studies, University of London. Her primary research is in oil markets and energy policy, with special focus on the Middle East and North Africa. Dr. El-Katiri has published widely on issues including oil and development in the Arab world, natural resource wealth in resource-rich economies, domestic energy market and pricing reform, and energy poverty; she has followed the East Mediterranean region’s energy development for many years.
