Colonel Ty Seidule

Colonel Ty Seidule is Professor and Head of the Department of History at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, NY. Commissioned in armor, he has served in the United States, Germany, Italy, the Balkans, and the Middle East. He has also served as the National Security Affairs Visiting Professor at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA. Colonel Seidule is the senior editor of The West Point History of Warfare, a 71-chapter military history enhanced e-book featuring animated maps, interactive graphics, 3D images, and primary source accounts. He is the editor of The West Point History of the Civil War (2014). Colonel Seidule received a B.A. from Washington and Lee University, and an M.A. and Ph.D. in history from The Ohio State University.
