Ms. Tam Phuong

Ms Tam Phuong started her doctoral program in Human Resource Development (HRD) in the School of Education and Human Development at TAMU in August 2011. Between 1994 and 2011, she was a lecturer, and from 2008 to 2011, she held the position of Associate Dean in a university in Hanoi, Vietnam. She joined the Emerging Leadership Development project at the Bush School of Government and Public Service at TAMU as a research assistant in May 2014. She now works as a research assistant for the project of English Language and Literacy Acquisition funded by the U.S. Department of Education and conducted at the School of Education and Human Development at TAMU. She is interested in research on leadership development and faculty development. She has conducted two studies about faculty development in Southeast Asian countries and in Vietnam. She has chosen to complete her dissertation on junior faculty development in public universities in Vietnam and hopes to complete her Ph.D. program in 2016.
